This Privacy Policy describes how Clout (“Clout,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Clout iOS application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

What we collect

Account information

Clout creates an anonymous app account so we can save your analysis history, manage subscription access, and keep your app experience tied to the same user record. We collect the unique user identifier issued by our authentication provider. If you contact support by email, we also collect the contact details and message content you choose to send us.

Content you submit

Clout’s core feature is analyzing short-form videos. When you upload a video from your camera roll or share a TikTok link to Clout, we process the following:

• The video file itself, temporarily, for AI analysis
• For TikTok URLs: publicly available metadata about the video (author, caption, view/like/comment/share counts, cover image) retrieved through a third-party API
• The AI-generated analysis results we produce for you

Uploaded video files are sent to our AI provider for the duration of the analysis and are not retained on our servers after analysis completes. The textual results of the analysis are stored against your account so you can revisit them in your history.

Usage and device data

We collect basic information about how you use the app — app launches, features tapped, screens viewed, onboarding and paywall progress, product interactions, device identifiers, device model, and operating system version — to debug issues, improve the product, understand what works, and measure our own marketing. If you grant permission, we may also use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework to measure how you discovered Clout and whether our ads are working.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store and managed through RevenueCat. We receive subscription status, entitlement, and receipt information confirming the purchase, but never see your payment card details.

How we use it

• Run the analysis features you ask us to run
• Store your history so it’s there when you come back
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Debug issues and improve the product
• Measure onboarding, paywall, subscription, and ad performance
• Communicate with you about your account or product changes

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the content of your videos to train third-party AI models.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run Clout, and only the data they need to do their job:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Google Gemini — AI video analysis
• TikWM — public TikTok metadata lookup for URLs you paste
• Apple — App Store distribution and in-app purchases
• RevenueCat — subscription status, receipts, and paywall management
• PostHog — product analytics, funnels, and session events
• AppsFlyer — app install attribution and ad performance measurement

Advertising attribution and cross-app tracking are used only with your tracking consent where consent is required.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Your rights and choices

• Access & deletion — request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing support@cloutai.app
• Subscriptions — manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store subscription settings
• Tracking — you can revoke App Tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings

Children

Clout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Data retention

We keep account information and analysis history for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within 30 days, except where a longer period is required by law.

International users

Clout is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
