This Privacy Policy describes how Clout (“Clout,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Clout iOS application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

What we collect

Account information

Clout creates an anonymous app account so we can save your analysis history, manage subscription access, and keep your app experience tied to the same user record. We collect the unique user identifier issued by our authentication provider. If you contact support by email, we also collect the contact details and message content you choose to send us.

Content you submit

Clout’s core feature is analyzing short-form videos. When you upload a video from your camera roll or share a TikTok or Instagram Reels link to Clout, we process the following:

• The video file itself, temporarily, for AI analysis
• A generated thumbnail image for uploaded videos, so your history can show a cover image
• For TikTok and Instagram Reels URLs: publicly available metadata about the video (author, caption, view/like/comment counts, cover image, and share count when the platform provides it) retrieved through a third-party API
• The AI-generated analysis results we produce for you

Uploaded video files are sent to our AI provider for the duration of the analysis and are not retained on our servers after analysis completes. Generated thumbnails and the textual results of the analysis are stored against your account so you can revisit them in your history.

Usage and device data

We collect basic information about how you use the app and website, including website pageviews, App Store link clicks, app launches, features tapped, screens viewed, onboarding and paywall progress, product interactions, device identifiers, device model, and operating system version. We use this information to debug issues, improve the product, understand what works, and measure our own marketing. Analytics events from the iOS app fire in production builds only.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store, and subscription access is managed through Superwall. We receive subscription status and entitlement information confirming the purchase.

How we use it

• Run the analysis features you ask us to run
• Store your history so it’s there when you come back
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Debug issues and improve the product
• Measure onboarding, paywall, subscription, and ad performance
• Communicate with you about your account or product changes

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the content of your videos to train third-party AI models.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run Clout, and only the data they need to do their job:

• Supabase: authentication, database, and file storage
• Google Gemini: AI video analysis
• Apify: public TikTok and Instagram metadata lookup for URLs you paste or share
• Apple: App Store distribution and in-app purchases
• Superwall: paywall presentation and subscription status
• PostHog: product analytics, funnels, and session events
• Meta: website PageView events when a Meta Pixel ID is configured

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Your rights and choices

• Access & deletion: request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing support@cloutai.app
• Subscriptions: manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store subscription settings

Children

Clout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Data retention

We keep account information and analysis history for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within 30 days, except where a longer period is required by law.

International users

Clout is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
